FLORIDA BAR – iPHONE, iPAD, BLACKBERRY, ANDROID

The Florida Bar is a non-profit organization in the state of Florida that is chartered with regulating attorney practice in the state for its almost 90,000 members.

  • The Florida Bar is a non-profit organization in the state of Florida that is chartered with regulating attorney practice in the state for its almost 90,000 members.
  • The client was in need of a mobile solution for the Android, Blackberry and iPhone/iPad platforms for its Florida Bar News section of its website.
  • The Florida Bar is home to members using smartphones and tablets from a wide variety of technology and needs to create a mobile solution that would cater to iPhone, iPad, Android and BlackBerry users.
  • Replicate the functionality of The Bar News on The Bar’s website in a dedicated app for all of the mobile platforms listed above. Features to be in includedin the applications are:
    • Ability to scroll through news articlesand classified ads
    • Search for articles by keyword.
    • List classified ads

    • Ability to save user preferences in order to:

      • Filter articles based on preference, rating or keyword
      • Save/Bookmark specific articles
      • Ability to email news stories to others
  • The final solution built for all iPhone, iPad, Android and BlackBerry smartphones an tablets provides members with a simplified and easy to follow navigation to scroll through news articles, classified ads, search for articles by keywords and save their user preferences in order to:
    • Filter articles based on preference, rating or keyword
    • Save/Bookmark specific articles to read later
  • Members can browse and read news articles, classified ads and share these items via email as well as get notified of breaking news via push notifications.
  • The App has been created so that users can continue reading offline, even when their mobile signal is intermittent or not available.
  • Automatic updates every time the users reconnects to their app
