A company in Taiwan was found to be bottling fake wines and labeling as fine Argentine wines. They had 160,000 litres of unfinished "wines" and 18,000 finished bottles of wine. Read more about it here.

Nicolas DeMeyer, a former domestic employee of David Solomon, who received wine shipments and transferred them to Solomon's cellar, was arrested for stealing $1.2 Million in his wine including DRC. Read more about it here.

Police in Walla Walla Washington are investigating local wineries who were contacted by suspects asking to purchase large volumes of wine with fake checks. Read more about it here.

Ukraine had a batch of wines removed from sales for illegally imitating Georgian wines, and their symbols. Read more about it here.

Police in China arrested 13 people in connection with selling counterfeit bottles of Penfolds on Alibaba's Taobao. Read more about it here.

Alibaba shut down several hundred thousand shops for selling fake goods including wines. This comes after scrutiny from luxury brands that found counterfeits sold on their site. Read more about it here.
