Training
The best weapon against the ever-growing problem of wine and spirits counterfeiting and fraud is education and training.
Two-day in person authentication seminars
The WineFraud.com team regularly holds two-day authentication training seminars. Most recently, we have held these in Hong Kong, London, San Francisco and New York City to share our knowledge and a bit of our skills.
We have suspended these temporarily while the world recovers from Covid-19, but hope to bring them back soon.

Introduction to Wine Authentication online course
In late 2020, we launched the Introduction to Wine Authentication, the first step to learning more about authentication. This online-only course teaches you the basics of wine authentication from the comfort of your home or office, an invaluable tool in times of reduced travel.
The course is in seven parts, bookended by Zoom chats with our Master Authenticator Siobhan Turner, in the second of which she will take you through the authentication of a real bottle, and invite you to bring your own.
TCM Certified Authenticator Program
For those who have completed either the two-day authentication seminar or the Introduction to Wine Authentication courses and are interested in training to become a wine authenticator, we have our TCM Certified Authenticator Program.
TCM Authenticator training is a 10-module combination of online presentations, self-study, guided assignments, online invigilation meetings and practical experience working alongside Maureen Downey, Siobhan Turner and Hugo d’Houwt in real-work experiences.
