DEBIT CARD SYSTEM FOR RECREATIONAL CENTER

New solution to replace the traditional methods of transaction such as tokens, coins, and admission tickets with a simple magnetic card and a way to reduce its dependency of employees handling cash transactions.

  • The client located in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee is in the family amusement industry providing attractions such asgo kart tracks, roller coasters, themed miniature golf courses, bumper cars and much more.
  • The client was looking for a new solution to replace the traditional methods of transaction such as tokens, coins, and admission tickets with a simple magnetic card and a way to reduce its dependency of employees handling cash transactions.
  • The client was also in need of a customizable and scalable solution that will assist them in taking their business to the next level of customer convenience and business automation.
  • Client required a solution that will provide the ability to control all areas of their amusement park and be able to monitor efficiently every transaction made in the park and be able to produce customizable reports with business intelligence.
  • Client wanted guests to use to be able to use a debit card system for all transactions in the park which can be purchase from either a staffed Point of Sale Station or a Self-Service Kiosk.
  • The cards can be loaded with any dollar amount, so that Guests can enjoy all points of fun offered at the location.
  • Guests will use their debit cards to play games, access to attractions and rides, buy food and souvenirs, and obtain prizes through promotions among other things.
  • An easy to use backend system for administrators to manage and view account activity and reports as well as any easy to use system for guests to add and manage their own accounts and balances.
  • Provided a custom debit card solution based around RFID technology and the use of magnetic strip cards similar to credit cards for the Guests to add funds and enjoy the attractions within the park.
  • With the debit card system, guest swipes their card through the reader attached to each game and attraction and the appropriate value or privilege is deducted, allowing the game to start or access to be granted.
  • Guests can reload their debit card with additional credit at any sales terminal or kiosk at any time.
  • Designed a comprehensive debit card system for the client to manage, maintain and keep track of every aspect of their amusement business.
  • An easy to use interface was designed to allow the client and Guests to check card history and balance, add funds, and edit and search the card details.
  • The completed solution helps the client to unlock potential marketing and pricing opportunities by providing the facility to create different debit cards, with different packages and profiles which help to drive repeat visits and improve overall cash flow.
  • A customized reporting section was provided to aid the client in reviewing a status of all accounts, ride counts, attendance and revenue generated daily, weekly, monthly and annually at each location.
  • The finished solution improved overall transaction speed, reduced cash handling by employees, and increased overall revenue and profits per guest.
